What is Subscribeit?

Subscribeit is a new form of accessing consumer tech products. With Subscribeit, you can rent the latest technology, instead of buying or financing it. At the end of your flexible monthly term, you send your product back for free and upgrade or choose something completely different. Now you never have to pay the full purchase price for your tech or worry about the resale or storage of products you no longer use. You can enjoy more experiences, and help save some of the world’s resources by participating in the circular economy.

How does renting work?

Pick the product you want on our website www.subscribeit.ca after creating a Subscribeit account, choose the minimum rental period for the product you would like of 1, 3, 6, or 12 months, and add the product to your cart. When the order has been successfully processed, you will be notified by as soon as the product is shipped.

Will I get exactly what I ordered?

It may happen that we have the product you want, but not in the same color. You will get the product faster as we can take it from our current stock. It also means you’re helping the circular economy and consuming more sustainably by not putting more products into circulation.

What does subscription limit mean?

With Subscribeit, Initially, you are limited to subscribe for one product at a time. Our algorithm calculates your order limit as part of an internal credit check based on several factors, such as your phone number, billing and delivery address, previous orders, and payment history. We automatically increase the subscription limit for loyal Subscribeit customers over time.

Billing & Payment Information

Which payment methods can I choose from?

Currently, we are supporting Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. We would add more payment methods in the near future.

Can I change my payment method during the rental period?

No, Unfortunately changing between different payment methods is not possible at this moment. However, we are working hard to bring more payment options in the future. If you need more information please don't hesitate to contact us.

When will I pay the first month's rent?

Your subscription is billed monthly in advance. The first rental payment is collected immediately on ordering, and all subsequent rental payments are made monthly from the date of the delivery of the product. For example, if your product is delivered January 1st, the next rental payment will be due on the 1st of February, the next on 1th of March, and so on.

How can I cancel my subscription?

To end your subscription, simply return your product to Subscribeit at the end of the minimum rental period. The return label can be found in your Subscribeit customer account dashboard. First, click on my account then my orders and then click on the product, then the button "Return." Here you can download and print the label to return the product for free. It is best to hand your return package to FedEx at least one day before your next payment is due so that the next month is not charged. Once your package has been scanned by FedEx, your monthly rental payments are stopped. The subscription will end completely once the product has been received and successfully processed by Subscribeit.

Shipping & Returns

What locations do you ship to?

We are currently only shipping to Canada, but are striving to expand our service to other countries soon. To receive updates, subscribe to our newsletter at subscribeit.ca.

How much is shipping?

Depends on the type of device you subscribe, return shipping is free.

How long will it take for my order to be shipped?

The order gets shipped approximately in 5 - 7 business days from the day the order has been placed.

Should I keep the original delivery box?

Yes, please keep the original packaging for the product intact for return shipping, so that the next user can enjoy the product like new. You can use the Subscribeit box for the return shipment unless your dog or cat has decided they want to keep it - then you'll have to find a new packing box.

How do I return a product?

To return a product, log in to Subscribeit and go to your Dashboard under my account. In my orders tab, click the button to request a return label under the product. You will receive an email with a downloadable return label as a PDF file. Please print the label and stick it on the parcel to ship the product back to us free of charge.

 

As soon as your package is scanned for return, your subscription will be paused and finally canceled as soon as we receive the product back in good condition. You will be notified of the return by email. In order to not be charged another rental month, the product should be returned at the latest on the day on which the rental is due for the coming month.

 

Please reset your device to factory settings before shipping it back. If you’ve rented an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, please make sure you’ve unpaired the device and remove your iCloud account prior to returning the product to us. Please make sure to send back your product with all the accessories and the original packaging.

 

Step by step:

 

  1. Log in to your Dashboard under My Account, click on My Orders, and request a return label for the product you would like to return.
  2. Receive the return shipping label in your email, and print the label.
  3. Reset your product to factory settings and unpair it, removing all personal data.
  4. Repackage the device in the original box with all accessories and original packaging.
  5. Ship the product back to Subscribeit before your next payment date.

Do I need to delete my data from the device?

Yes, in order for us to process returned devices, it is important that you reset all cell phones, smartwatches, and laptops to factory settings before sending them back. Please also remove your linked Apple ID, Google Account, PIN code, and any parental controls. Your user account should also be deleted from game consoles. Make sure to perform a back up of your personal data before resetting the device.

 

If we can not access your device after it is returned due to it being connected to a user account, we will have to charge additional payments to unlock and reset the device.

Products & Insurance

Are all products new?

All our products are "as good as new."As good as new," means they may show minor signs of usage, such as tiny scratches, but in general, will be in good condition. The returned products are always cleaned, disinfected, and reset to factory settings before they are sent out to another customer, and visibly used products are removed from our inventory. Please contact customer service in case a product is showing clear signs of usage, and we will find an adequate solution.

What happens if the product gets damaged?

If your product is damaged on delivery or has noticeable signs of wear, please contact our customer service by email or phone within 3 days of delivery. Please additionally document the damage by taking pictures of the product and packaging and send them to customer support by email. If the damage is not documented or customer service alerted within 3 days of delivery, we must assume the damage occurred during the rental period, and you will be charged 50% of the repair costs when it is returned. What happens if the product gets lost or stolen?

All products covered under Subscribeit Care are insured for 50% of the repair cost in case of damage, but Subscribeit does not insure products against theft or loss. We currently do not provide additional insurance for these cases. If your product is lost or stolen, please contact our customer service immediately.

Can I travel with my product?

Yes, you can take products anywhere you want.
